Would you have revealed “operation dynamite” if you were still in the PNP? – Kumchacha to Hopeson Adorye

Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha of Heaven’s Gate Ministry, has criticized Hopeson Adorye, former Deputy National Security Coordinator, for his controversial statement regarding the detonation of dynamite.

Hopeson Adorye, recently expelled from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), admitted during a radio interview that during the 2016 elections, he and others used dynamite in National Democratic Congress (NDC) strongholds to intimidate voters.

This revelation has led to his arrest and a pending trial.

Responding to Adorye’s claim, Prophet Kumchacha questioned whether Adorye would have made such a statement if he was still a member of the NPP.

Kumchacha argued that party secrets should remain confidential regardless of the circumstances.

“Statements that may cause destruction or harm to the country should not be encouraged. This is an important lesson for all politicians,” Kumchacha said in an interview on Kingdom FM on May 24, 2024.

“Let me advise my brother Hopeson, and thanks to his wife Gifty, I really like him. If he has now left the NPP and joined Afranfranto, all the secrets he knows about the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the party should kept secret…and let me ask this question: what you said that got you in trouble, would you have said the same thing if you were still a member of the PNP?” he questioned.

Adorye was released on bail of 20,000 Ghana Cedis by a Circuit Court (May 23) on charges of publishing false news.

This was after spending the night at the Ministries Police Station following an invitation to the Ghana Police Service CID headquarters mid-week.
