Vehicle modifications (back) have been added to fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3formally called destroyed, with the arrival of the Sandstorm and the Wasteland Warriors. There are six vehicle mods in Wrecked: four new and two unmodified from previous seasons.

You will need to know how to modify your vehicles for new challenges like “Modifies a vehicle with a machine gun turret or grenade launcher turret.”

Our fortnite the guide will explain how to modify vehicles in Chapter 5 Season 3 and what types of modifications you will find on the map.

The first step to modifying a vehicle in Wrecked is obviously finding a vehicle; you must drive one to modify it.

Once in the car, all you have to do is keep an eye out for the boxes, like the one you see above, on the road or at Service Stations. Driving on them will install the mod on your vehicle (and satisfy the mission requirements).

How do mods work in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3?

Vehicle modifications come in three types: front bumper, ceilingand tires. You can only have one of each type installed at a time. That means if you already have a tire modification and you override another one, you’ll switch to the new one.

For the bumper slot, you can find cow hunter and spiked bumper mods. For the roof, there is a Grenade launcher turret and a machine gun turret. For tires, you will find Bulletproof tires and Chonkers all-terrain tires.

You can tell which slot a mod is for at a glance by the color of the box. The bumper mods are grey-blue, the roof mods are red, and the tire mods are green.

Vehicle modifications have their own health, so they can (and will) be destroyed by use and poor driving. When something is damaged to the point of breaking, you will have to go over another box to (re)install the mod.
