Ghanaian gospel musician Gifty Adorye also known as Empress Gifty has offered words of encouragement to her husband, Hopeson Adorye following his release by the police following an arrest.

She advised her husband not to let his arrest by the police affect him psychologically, suggesting that it might serve a beneficial purpose in his life.

She compared her husband’s ordeal to that of the biblical Joseph, who was sold by his brothers to foreigners for elimination, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise that God used to promote him.

“God can use a moment of shame to glorify himself in your life. Sometimes people conspire to tarnish your reputation and inflict pain, but to me, those challenges strengthen you, inspire ideas, and even lead to glorification.

“Joseph was not a native of Egypt, but since God had predestined him for greatness, see how God arranged for his own brothers to sell him. They even killed an animal and stained his garment with its blood to deceive their father into believing it had been “They killed him. What they didn’t know was that it was the beginning of something significant that God intended to accomplish in his life,” he said on Twi during an Instagram live session.

Hopeson Adorye, beaming with smiles, commented: “That is correct. That is why I said that what happened led me to glory.”

Hopeson Adorye was granted bail of 20,000 Ghana cedis by a circuit court on May 23, 2024, after facing charges of publishing fake news.

His arrest is related to a public claim that he detonated explosives (dynamite).
in areas of the opposition stronghold in the Volta region during the 2016 general elections.

He acknowledged that the operation was a personal effort carried out without the knowledge of regional executives.

He later clarified that the event occurred in neighboring Togo, responding that there were no reports of explosions in the Volta region before or during the 2016 elections.
