Poll shows ANC support declining since NHI signing, while DA and MKP rising

If President Cyril Ramaphosa had thought that his public signing of the National Health Insurance (NHI) bill would result in votes for the ANC, he would have been wrong.

In a somewhat unusual move, Ramaphosa signed the controversial bill at a public event amid much pomp and ceremony at the Union Buildings last Wednesday.

Since that date, the Social Research Foundation (SRF) tracking survey has shown a steady decline for the party led by Ramaphosa and which boosted the NHI.
